f(x) = 3x − 2 and g(x) = x² + 1. Solve fg(x) = 25.
- fg(x) = 3(x² + 1) − 2 = 3x² + 1M1
- 3x² + 1 = 25, so x² = 8M1
- x = ±√8M1
- x = ±2√2A1
